Effect
of Pregnancy on Women's Body As you are aware, a woman's abdomen becomes
enlarged during pregnancy. Also during labor, pelvic muscles become expanded.
Therefore, the condition of a woman's abdomen after labor is likened to a deflated
balloon. Usually, they do not experience pain in their youth. However, in their
late fifties after menopause, they start experiencing various health problems
including sagging of internal organs (typically gastropyosis), loose bladder,
and uterus problems etc. These conditions of post menopause really started bothering
them. As a result, the aging process becomes accelerated. For years, in order
to prevent these problems, obstetricians have strongly encouraged their patients
to get regular post-natal exercise to strengthen the abdomen and pelvic muscles.
However, only a handful of women follow this advice. I assume that this absolute
necessity of post-natal exercise was not completely clarified to them.
Therefore,
I advise my patients to use Diet Slippers in the kitchen when they leave my hospital
after labor (sometimes during the routine check-up month after labor). Because,
by using Diet Slippers, they get regular post natal exercise in a natural manner.
I implemented this practice about four years ago. The response from my patients
have been very favorable of Diet Slippers.
Weakness of Human Body by
Naotoshi Hosokawa, M.D., OBN/GYN Humans became human by changing their mode
of walking from quadruped style to upright style. This change brought them opportunities
to free their arms. They invented various equipment and used them with two arms.
Also upright posture helped their brains develop. In another word, freeing of
the arms from walking literally initiated the beginning of civilization. However,
there is a catch to this feat. Humans have weaknesses foreign to other mammals.
One weakness is that a human newborns' body is less developed compared to those
of other mammals because of their more developed head. For example, other mammal
newborns get up by themselves almost immediately after birth and approach their
mothers for milk. Human newborns can't. Also there is another weakness only unique
to them. This weakness tends to cause quite a few of problems such as chronic
nasal cavity problems, tense shoulder muscles, back pain, sagging of internal
organs, leg problems and flaccid abdominal and pelvic muscles caused by pregnancy.
In order to eliminate this kind of problem, humans would have to live in quadruped
style or in aquatic life style such as a whales and dolphins. However, this is
an almost impossible request. Therefore, we have to research the human body's
weakness and hammer out preventive measures . There have been many studies and
researches conducted for this purpose; I feel Diet Slippers are an effective method.
PREVENTION OF AGING OF LEGS STARTS FROM CALVES - Dr. Kaniye
of Nagoya City University Dr. Ryo-uichi Kaniye conducted research on aging
process of legs using a thermograph. According to Dr. Kaniye, in the process of
aging, people lose function of leg muscles. Especially, blood circulation with
calve part become slower compared to other parts of legs; however, on the other
hand, calve part is the easiest to regain the healthy temperature by exercise.
His research confirmed the effectiveness of tiptoe exercise. He will present his
discovery at the convention of Japan Thermology Association starting from September
17, 1998.
Dr. Kaniye utilized a thermograph equipment to measure the temperatures
on the legs: 20 each of young adult (average age 34.5 years old ) and convalescent
hospital tenants (average age 83.1 years old) participated in the experiment.
He discovered that there is not much difference of temperatures between, outside
and inside of thighs, shins, and calves with younger person. However, with the
older group, they have much lower temperature in the calve part compared to other
parts of legs: There was a 35.15 F. degree of difference between the thigh part
(height of the legs) and the calve part. In the next experiment, he asked the
older group to do easy exercise such as using room bicycle equipment for the period
of 6 weeks. As the result, the temperature of thighs was raised only between 0.1%
to 0.4%. However, the temperature of calve part was increased by 17% from before
exercise state.
This discovery shows that calve part are responsive to
exercise, and the exercise with emphasis on legs is effective to regain the healthy
blood circulation in legs. He also noted that slow paced tiptoe exercise and stretching
ankles on the bed to strengthen the calve part. Dr. Kaniye stated that there was
a much emphasis put on strengthening thigh muscles for rehabilitation; however
this research is the scientific proof that the calve part is vital to healthy
legs and its circulation.
